Participant Information

Check-In

Check-in and registration takes place at the registration desk in the lobby of the Student Activities Building.

Sundays: 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Mondays & Wednesdays: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 10:30 am - 5:30 pm
Saturdays: Closed
All other times: Call ahead to give estimated arrival time and for arrival information and details.

What to Bring

Veteran QBL participants recommend the following items for your dormroom and classrooms:

Dormroom:

Linens are provided (sheets, blanket, pillow and towels). How ever you may consider bringing the following items for your convience. Fan, hangers, sheets, pillow, bedding, mattress pad, towels, flip-flops, basket for shower essentials, alarm clock, radio, laundry detergent, roll of quarters, phone card, luggage cart, umbrella/rain coat, flashlight, camera/film.

Quilting Classrooms:
Personal lamp and extra bulbs, water bottle, surge protector

Quilting Supply Lists
Detailed, comprehensive supply lists are sent out with confirmation letters. If you lose your supply list go to
classes click on the class and the supply list will be under the description or please contact qbl@schweinfurthartcenter.org or call (315) 255-1553.

Sewing Machine Rentals
Both Bernina and Pfaff sewing machines may be rented for your classes at QBL. Contact the following for more information or to rent a sewing machine. All rental requests should be placed by May 1, 2008.

Helpful Information

Travel Information
Morrisville is located on US Route 20, east of Interstate 81, and about 25 miles southeast of Syracuse. If you wish to arrive or depart by air, Syracuse is the nearest airport. The welcoming letter contains information about van service from arrival destinations in Syracuse.

Directions to the campus are available on the college website at www.morrisville.edu.

Smoking & Personal Fragrances
There is a NO SMOKING policy in effect for all campus buildings. Smoking is permitted outside only. Also, many QBL participants are allergic to colognes, perfumes, and scented soaps. Please leave your fragrances at home and pack extra fabric instead!

Meals and Lodging
Housing and meals are offered in a typical college setting. Each attendee is assigned to a single dorm room, with shared bathroom facilities. Linens (sheets, blanket, pillow, and towels) are provided. Consideration will be given to those who, for medical or accessibility reasons, require a ground floor room or an elevator. Meals are served in the college cafeteria on a regular schedule, and special dietary needs may be accommodated if requested in advance. Meals begin with dinner on the first night you arrive and end after breakfast on your final morning.

Sending Supplies

If you would like to send some of your supplies ahead of time, please contact the QBL registrar by calling 315-255-1553 for details on how & where to ship your package. Be sure to write QBL, the name of your teacher and the class on the outside of your package to facilitate its' delivery to your classroom. No packages can be accepted prior to Monday July 7th. Return shipping can be arranged through the campus store.
