Carol began her quilt making in 1976 by making a memory quilt from her mother’s clothing. From this, she saw the creative possibilities of fabric as a medium and began to create her own designs. Her style continues to evolve. Fueled by a love of color, she incorporates dyed, painted, stamped, stenciled, and discharged cloth in her work. Although her quilts are most often designed for the wall, traditional piecing and traditional elements are found in her work. She has exhibited nationally and internationally since 1986, and her quilts have been published in Visions, American Quilter Magazine, and in other books.
