This is for anyone who has ever wanted to step out of the box, leave the familiar and traditional behind and create a one of a kind quilt or embroidery while learning the keystones of design. The participants will explore color, work with grids and their distortion while recognizing line and shape. The days build on each other and are divided into working on paper with art and design techniques, hands on sampling for special effects on fabrics and the planning and successful execution of an original art quilt.

Day 2 - Sampling toward a specific project, pulling together sketches, designs and fabrics for your project and observing basic design elements.
