2 days - All Levels/comfortable with sewing machine
Explore a direct and freehand approach to composition and construction. Beginning with
a simple form set in a field, we work through a series of abstract studies towards more
complex compositions. Particular focus is on generating powerful, evocative forms.
With positive guidance, piecing construction is a daredevil, jump in and do it, problemsolving
experience.
Focus will be: Freehand construction techniques, problem solving approach to design
and construction, exploring simple forms/shapes, exploring ways to generate ideas,
encouraging each student’s individual style.
