Do you like to learn more about other cultures and their quilting techniques? Join us
for this short virtual trip to India and let yourself be introduced to this ancient quilting
technique. After a brief introduction to the historically based steps learn how to
translate this simply exciting new skill and incorporate it into your contemporary quilt
making. All quilters, hand quilters or machine quilters will love this simple and yet so
effective way of decorating fabric with running stitches to create one of a kind frame
able pieces or large art quilts. Must be comfortable with a needle and thread.

- 3 pieces of lightweight, solid coloured cotton fabric, each no larger than 10" X 10"
- A postcard or calendar page with a landscape photograph that appeals to you
- 1 piece of lightweight cotton, no larger than 15" X 15"
- Several pieces of lightweight cotton fabrics, tulle and sheers
- 1 piece of navy blue or black tulle, about 15" X 15"
- Erasable fabric marker
- Several skeins of contrasting colours in cotton or silk embroidery floss
- Several skeins of cotton or silk embroidery floss to match the fabric
- Several spools of hand quilting threads in the colours of your fabrics
- Betweens/embroidery/darning needles
- Thimble, if you use one
- Embroidery scissors
