2 days - All levels
Are you stuck in a creative rut? Learn how to turn it into a groove. After some simple and fun exercises, students will create one or two small quilt tops using a variety of techniques. The emphasis in this workshop will be on creativity, not technique. Be prepared to have fun!
Taught by: Libby Lehman

- One or two high quality magazines (American Craft, House Beautiful, etc.). We’ll be using the color images, so something like Time is not a good choice.
- Large tablet sketch paper
- Glue stick
- Sharp pencil and eraser
- Paper and fabric scissors
- Roll of freezer paper
- Black permanent marker (fine point)
- Straight pins
- Pencil
- Paper sack for trash
- Tape to attach sack to table
Fabric
- Fabric scraps for collage. Bring a variety of colors, values and scale.
- Three 14” squares for backgrounds. Solid or tone-on-tone prints work well, but don’t agonize over your choices. We’ll be making samples, not masterpieces!
Optional but very helpful
- THREADPLAY by Libby Lehman (That Patchwork Place, 1997)
- Cushion for chair (especially if you are short!)
- extra light
